  • Overview

    The Facilities Specialist is part of a team of individuals that provides mechanical and facility support and upkeep to the G&C Facility.  This will include ensuring operation of building and equipment is functional by replacing parts on equipment, performing minor building repairs and/or internal construction.


    • Perform some ordinary/light carpentry, mechanical, painting, plumbing, masonry, drywall repairs and finish work
    • Respond to all service requests as quickly and efficiently as possible. Complete all necessary documentation associated with service requests
    • Complete daily rounds and check mechanical equipment, recreational facilities and any other functional or safety concerns
    • Pick up/clean grounds and common areas
    • Take after hours “on call” duties as assigned
    • Immediate attention to areas posing risks to life safety of employees and visitors (fire alarms, trip hazards, etc.)


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 1-2 yrs experience in a related field recommended
    • Valid NYS Driver’s License
    • HVAC a plus

    KSA (knowledge skills and abilities)

    ·         Basic knowledge of various trade (building maintenance) fundamentals

    ·         Excellent diagnostic skills

    ·         Strong customer service skills

    ·         Attention to detail and sense of urgency in completing job tasks

    ·         Ability to follow instructions efficiently

    ·         Ability to maintain a friendly, professional attitude with prospects, residents and colleagues

    ·         Ability to work a flexible schedule, which will include evenings and weekends
