    G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen and dry food. Our sole distribution center is in Syracuse, NY. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states.

    G&C Foods is currently looking for a highly-skilled forward-thinking Senior Project Manager.

    This position requires a dynamic personality and the ability to manage and coordinate with employees across all areas of the organization. This position has many opportunities for internal growth.

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

    The Senior Project Manager Determines scope of software projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors progress. Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future requirements to meet organizational needs. Leads the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with system configuration.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the successful completion of projects, from end-to-end . . . on budget, and on time, with consideration given to daily realities.
    • Coordinates project activities involving cross-functional teams, external resources and vendors, ensuring that everyone involved is working together to meet project objectives.
    • Designs the project schedule and sets timelines for each member of the team.
    • Delegates specific tasks to each team member.
    • Monitors project costs
    • Calculates required resources
    • Designs a comprehensive strategy for achieving successful project outcomes.
    • Develops good relationships with all internal stakeholders.
    • Communicates effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Explains complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
    • Displays proper use of judgment and issue resolution to ensure issues and conflicts are properly handled.
    • Arrange all the facilities and key meetings for the teams who are working on the project.
    • Provides coaching and leadership to team members in agreed-upon project management techniques.
    • May lead the selection of project-related vendors, manages vendor relationships, and oversees vendor tasks.
    • Interprets business requirements into technical solutions, and participates in issue resolution.
    • Predict risks and plan mitigation and avoidance strategies.
    • May assist in development of technical project estimates, RFP responses, scope analysis, and technical documentation.
    • As needed, provides cost-benefit analysis and negotiates scopes, budgets and schedules.
    • Makes regular reports to internal stakeholders about project progress.
    • Monitors software release schedules, keeping up-to-date on new functionality, and offers hands-on training relative to each release to both new and existing stakeholders as needed.
    • Works with business analyst(s) to ensure that business needs are Identified and defined.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years as a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in medium to large enterprises preferred.
    • Agile / Scrum project management experience preferred.
    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
    • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
    • Skills in fact-finding and data collection.
    • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and groups.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Skills in conflict resolution.
    • Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
